CMS consolidates ICD-10 resources

I admit that when I read that when the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced it was planning to close the Road to 10 website, I was surprised the site was still running.

The website was created to help small medical practices build an ICD-10 action plan.

The Road to 10 let you pick your specialty, practice size, types of vendors and healthcare payers. It guided you through what you needed to know with specific examples of how ICD-10 codes could affect your practice.

Since ICD-10 implementation on Oct. 1, 2015, CMS saw traffic drop significantly. It's not that medical professionals didn't need advice or help with ICD-10. But they were finding resources at CMS.gov.

So help with ICD-10 will be found at CMS.gov/ICD.10. They're just consolidating ICD-10 resources in one online location.
